There are so~~ many choices now!

When I first began my network marketing back in 1985, there were only limited number of companies and opportunities and information sharing was not as easy as now. Unless you are approached by someone in person, it was just not easy to hear about other available options.

Now, there are so many choices. Comparing to the generation when I got started, generation now have so many choices to choose from. There are thousands of companies in the market calming and offering great products and opportunities. You can just google for network marketing companies and find about thousands of companies globally. You can see their products, presentations, and meet with top-notch leaders. With a few clicks, you can download documents and watch videos, amazing testimonies are all around us. Basically, your potential partners are bombarded with so many companies, products, and opportunities everyday.

Differentiating is becoming harder and harder. Many companies, if not all, have patented scientifically products with amazing testimonies, and have people making six figure income, claiming their comPlan being the best there is. To your potential partners, you are just one of them. It will take more than just having good products and compensation plan. Big part of what worked before won’t work now.

It is just a different world. The world then, very limited number of choices. The world now, more than enough choices.

If you compare network marketing industry to real estate, it is buyers market. They have so many choices to choose from and they can research, do virtual tour, and compare. Many of them come to you educated, experienced, and know what they want. This phenomenon makes how you design your offers matter much more than before.

Don’t be arrogant! Market is changing, how people live is changing, why they buy what they buy is changing. Now is a time to stay alert and really listen to what market is saying, what your field leaders are saying to you. And, be more conscious when you design your offer(s).
